Christian spiritual formation resources and teachings have primarily come from Western spiritual traditions. Our current approach to formation comes out of that way of thinking and being, communicating that the white experience of God is the norm and authority.
In this book, Cindy S. Lee offers a new way to understand and engage in spiritual formation. The book takes readers through “an unforming and a reforming of our souls.” In the NCISDF Beyond a Book Study, participants will read the book together and will be guided through an experiential learning of unforming and reforming their understanding of spiritual formation. Our hope and prayer is that, through our time together, our hearts and souls will shift and open more fully to new possibilities as we are formed more fully into a multicultural community of faith and love.
