Drawing from his book, Getting To Good: Moving toward a fuller, more abundant Life right now, David Livingston (district superintendent, Great Plains Conference UMC), will discuss common struggles of contemporary life.
Jesus told his first followers two thousand years ago that they could experience “abundant life.” Yet today, we still struggle with some of the same problems as his first followers and some problems they didn’t have to face. During this webinar, David will discuss the causes of these issues in congregations and some concrete steps to get to a good place of their own. A few of the items David plans to discuss are:
• Understanding how stress and anxiety are created and function
• Learning strategies and techniques for lowering the temperature
• Coming to peace with the anxiety that cannot be changed
• Harnessing anxiety for personal and church change
