Would you like tools to equip your faith community to care for and restore our ecosystems? Do you want to inspire your church to honor the interconnectedness of all Creation?
JustFaith Ministries’ small group programs provide everything you need to facilitate a holy and healthy dialogue around understanding the climate crisis and impacts on our ecosystem, build lay leadership, and lead your community in taking action locally.
Due to the generosity of the Gaston Community Foundation, we are able to offer grant funding to North Carolina churches who would like to offer one or more of the following four programs:
Sacred Land: Food and Farming
Sacred Air: Climate and Energy
Sacred Water: Oceans and Ecosystems
The Land Is Not Our Own: Seeking Repair Alongside Indigenous Communities
To get started, you’ll need two volunteers to facilitate the conversation. JustFaith provides facilitator training and support; no expertise or prior facilitation experience is needed. All programs include instructions for respectful dialogue and deep listening, community prayer, weekly spiritual practices, and relationship-building activities. Your final session will guide your group in building a concrete plan for taking action around your group’s chosen topic.
Funding applications for Spring will be received and granted on a first-come, first-served basis until May 15, 2025 or until funds runs out, so complete the pre-application form as soon as possible to bring this opportunity to your community.
