Preaching began on our grounds in 1815, with our original Sanctuary being built and consecrated in 1844. Since that time, Wesley Chapel has remained steeped in the Wesleyan tradition of Methodism. Our congregation is led by the Holy Spirit to follow the Greatest Commandment, “To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and, to love your neighbor as yourself.” Our worship services are open to all – Saints and Sinners – and our congregation is driven by a life of mission that lives outside the walls of our building throughout our community.
