The North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church is pleased to announce that Ryan Kuecks will serve as the Director of Communications, beginning July 1, 2026.

Kuecks brings more than 12 years of communications experience within The United Methodist Church, along with a passion for storytelling and connectional ministry. He has served in communications leadership roles at Myers Park United Methodist Church, Charlotte, NC, and Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, San Antonio, Texas, and has worked with nonprofit and community organizations through freelance communications and media work.

“Ryan brings strong experience in communications, storytelling, collaboration, and strategic leadership, along with a deep appreciation for the mission and ministry of the Church,” said Rev. Ismael Ruiz-Millán, Executive Director of Connectional Ministries. “We are excited to welcome him into this important role.”
