At the 2026 Annual Conference, we shared that Ryan Kuecks, who had accepted the position of Director of Communications for the North Carolina Conference, experienced an unexpected change in family circumstances that prevented him from accepting the position at this time.

We remain grateful to Ryan for his interest in serving the conference and continue to hold him and his family in our prayers during this season.

Following the Annual Conference, conference leadership has been evaluating next steps regarding this important role in the life of our conference. The search team will reconvene in the coming weeks to prayerfully discern the path forward and determine next steps.

The Director of Communications position plays a vital role in helping tell the story of God’s work across our connection, supporting local churches and ministries, and strengthening communication throughout the North Carolina Conference. We remain committed to identifying the person whom God is calling to this ministry.

In the meantime, we are deeply grateful for the leadership of the Communications Team, whose dedication and excellent work continue to support the communications ministry of our conference during this transition.
