Welcome to our series that spotlights ministries of the NC Conference. Read about other conference ministries as these stories are published weekly.

Office of Clergy Life

The cornerstones of the Office of Clergy Life are calling, equipping, and sustaining. The Clergy Life team provides resources to clergy from early days of discerning through a lifetime of service and beyond.

The Office of Clergy Life supports individuals who are discerning a call to ministry through discernment conversations, Candidacy Retreat & mentoring, educational pathways, and the Taste & See Intern Program. They equip clergy with the resources and training they need to serve their first appointment, as they transition into a new appointment, and as they pursue their educational pathways to live into their call. They also equip and resource District Committees on Ordained Ministry (dCOMs), The Board of Ordained Ministry (BOM), and the Residency in Ordained Ministry Program (RIOM). Lastly, they support the sustained ministry of clergy through mentoring, scholarships, Seminary Debt Reduction, therapy reimbursement, Ethics Training, programs like The Esther Project, and more.

Loving Boldly, Serving Joyfully, Leading Courageously

The Office of Clergy Life joyfully serves the clergy of the North Carolina Annual Conference by equipping and resourcing clergy serving in and beyond the church to inspire our conference to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously in all that we do.
