Rev. Ryan Dunn
Rev. Ryan Dunn serves as the Minister of Digital Engagement for United Methodist Communications. Ryan grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois, but came to North Carolina at the behest of a friend to be the youth director at St. James UMC in Greenville. He, his wife, and teenaged son now reside in Tennessee. Ryan is fascinated by exploring the ways in which the church exists in digital spaces.

United Methodist Communications
Rev. Dunn is a deacon from the North Carolina Conference serving with United Methodist Communications in Nashville, TN, since 2017. As the Minister of Digital Engagement, Ryan coordinates the denomination’s social media accounts, writes for UMC.org, and produces both “Compass” and “MyCom” podcasts. As a secondary appointment, he works with Glencliff United Methodist Church in Nashville, doing whatever digital communications they ask of him.
A Disciple Making Ministry
These sites are digital touchpoints offering invitation and information about both the United Methodist denomination and the ways in which it puts faith into action. One model of discipleship is inviting people into groups of disciples. This is a point of invitation.
