Rev. Ben Adams

Rev. Ben Adams serves as Senior Associate Dean of Students for QuadEx at Duke University. His life’s work is to foster communities where all people flourish. To this end, he has served as a high school teacher, pastor, and now, higher education administrator. Ben and his wife, Gabby, are the proud parents of Elliott and live in Cary.

Duke University QuadEx

QuadEx is Duke University’s commitment to deliver a student experience rooted in belonging, engagement, and well-being. Rev. Adams’ teams work to onboard students, support student families, foster healthy relationships across difference, develop students leaders, host campus traditions, and support the well-being of all students.

A Leader Forming & Peace Building Ministry

Duke University is the home to over 17,000 students from all walks of life and all corners of the earth. They bring their ideas, opinions, and life experiences and live together in close quarters. QuadEx and the teams led by Rev. Adams teach students how to live in community, build relationships across difference, and engage in hard conversations with humility and empathy. In this time of heightened political polarization and distrust, they seek to instill values of trust, grace, humility, and empathy among students. It’s hard work that weaves together peace building and leadership development. While not explicitly Christian or religious, his hope is that his work reflects the radical and inclusive love of God to all students and colleagues.
