Rev. Dave Allen
Rev. Dave Allen serves as Campus Minister & Executive Director at Duke Wesley Fellowship. He served as a pastor in the local church from 2011-2016, which is when he entered his current role as a campus minister. He enjoys cheering for his teams (NY Mets, NY Giants, Duke Blue Devils) and playing tennis. He lives in northwest Durham, near the Eno River, with his wife, two children, and six chickens.

Duke Wesley Fellowship
Rev. Allen is appointed to provide spiritual care and to build community among students at Duke University. He does this primarily through shepherding the campus ministry, Duke Wesley. They share together in a rich life of worship, sacrament, biblical study, and theological exploration. He also provides individual support to students outside of the group setting. Although the students come from all sorts of backgrounds, most have roots in The United Methodist Church. It is his great joy to get to greet them when they arrive at Duke, and show them that their church is ready to invest in them during these pivotal years!
A Leader Forming Ministry
Campus ministries are an important part of the Conference’s “culture of call,” raising up leaders with a calling to ordained ministry. More broadly, they are forming students who will go on to substantial engagement in local churches wherever life takes them after graduation. When a Duke Wesley alum shows up in your congregation, know that you will be getting a devoted and reliable layperson, ready to serve and lead!
