The theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity for January 18-25, 2026, comes from Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling” (Eph. 4:4).
In a world with diverse and often divided traditions and expressions of Christian faith, Ephesians 4:4 reminds us that all believers are part of the “one body” of Christ.
Resources for observing the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity are available from the NC Conference and our partner organizations.
Christian Unity and Interreligious Relationships Committee
Over these eight days, the members of the NC Conference Christian Unity and Interreligious Relationships (CUIR) committee will share a series of devotions, inviting us to reflect on our shared calling and our life together as the Body of Christ.
Subscribe to receive these daily devotions in your email or view them on the website.

Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute
The Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Atonement invite all Christians to participate in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which was co-founded at Graymoor in 1908 and continues today to realign the hearts of Christians toward mutual recognition and spiritual transformation.
Join them on Wednesday, January 21, from 12-1 pm at the Interchurch Center in Manhattan (or online via livestream) for their annual Ecumenical Service of the Word in observance of the Week of Prayer.
They also provide liturgical and Scriptural materials, artwork, music recommendations, and other materials to help you get the most out of this week.
