During the Thursday evening session of the 2024 Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference, the SEJ Committee on Episcopacy announced the assignment of Bishop Connie Mitchell Shelton to the North Carolina Conference for the next quadrennium (four years).
“On behalf of the Committee on Episcopacy, we are grateful to welcome Bishop Connie Mitchell Shelton back to the North Carolina Annual Conference. We are excited about the hopeful future of The United Methodist Church in North Carolina and thank God for equipping Bishop Shelton to lead in such a time as this,” said Dr. Christine Dodson, North Carolina Conference delegation chair.
We look forward to disciple making, leader forming, and peace building in the North Carolina Conference under Bishop Shelton’s leadership.
