Raising Resilient Kids – A Workshop for the Whole Family
February 7 @ 10:15 am – 12:45 pm
Resilience, or “the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences,” is something young people need now more than ever. The good news is, research suggests that parents and caregivers can help to cultivate resilience.
Spring Hill UMC, Kipling UMC, and Fuquay-Varina UMC are excited to collaborate to offer two (nearly identical) workshops for parents and caregivers, all about cultivating resilience in the young people we love and care for.
- Workshop 1: Saturday, February 7, at Fuquay-Varina UMC, 10:30 – 12:45, including lunch
- Workshop 2: Wednesday, February 11, at Spring Hill UMC, 6:00 – 8:05, including dinner
Each workshop will feature an interdisciplinary panel of experts (childcare provided for kids in 5th grade and younger), followed by two 20-minute breakout sessions for the whole family.
To cover meal & childcare costs, we are asking for a registration fee of $10 per child and $ 7 per adult (no more than $35 total per family).
