Julia serves as the Director of Youth Ministry for the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. She works alongside districts, churches, and youth leaders and youth across the conference to create meaningful opportunities for connection, leadership development, and faith formation through events, retreats, and collaborative ministry initiatives.
Julia’s roots in youth ministry run deep through her own experience growing up in this conference, where she participated in youth events, leadership opportunities, and Camp Don Lee. She has since served in local church ministry and or camp ministry for almost 20 years in a variety of roles. She also currently serves on the Camp Don Lee staff team. Through these experiences, she has developed a passion for cultivating spaces where young people experience belonging, growth, and God’s presence in community. She cares deeply about equipping adult leaders, strengthening relationships between churches, and helping youth discover their gifts and place in the Church.
She lives on the North Carolina coast with her family and is grateful to serve a connection that helped shape her own faith.
