Jeff officially retired from the State of NC in 2017 after 30 years of service. As the Domestic Marketing Manager and Assistant Director of Marketing at the NC Department of Agriculture, he helped develop and implement the “Got to Be NC” program, as well as numerous marketing campaigns with grocery and foodservice chains, NC farmers, and in-state food companies. His team was responsible for the success of a variety of food shows and events, both in-state and out-of-state, during that time as well. For eight years, he also served as the Grants Program Manager for the NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission, where he managed a grant portfolio valued at several million dollars.
In the past several years, Jeff has worked as a Legislative Assistant at the NC General Assembly and conducted contract work for state agencies. In addition, he serves as the girls’ basketball coach at Riverwood Middle School, where he has led the team for multiple seasons. Jeff is a member of Knightdale UMC, where he has held a variety of committee chairman and member positions. He and his wife, Lou, live in Clayton and are the proud parents of two adult daughters.
