Delores is an ordained elder in the NC Conference. She received a B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1978 and worked for six years as a Recreational Therapist before answering the call to ministry. She received her M. Div. from Duke University Divinity School and served appointments throughout the NC Conference, as well as serving three years in the British Methodist Church before retiring in 2021.
Having grown up in New Bern, NC, with an older brother and sister who also attended UNC, Delores is a die-hard Carolina fan who loves ACC basketball and cheering for the Tarheels. She enjoys time with family and friends, especially her great-nieces and great-nephews, and spending time at the beach, whenever possible. She continues to serve on the NC Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and on the NC Conference Church Transformation Ministries Team.
