Beth is an ordained elder in full connection in the North Carolina Conference. She has a B.S. from UNC-Chapel Hill and received a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University Divinity School in Durham, NC. She has served churches in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church in Sanford (St. Luke), Lemon Springs (Lemon Springs), Aberdeen (Page Memorial), and Wilmington (Wesley Memorial), as well as Superintendent of the Greenville District. Since 2020, Beth has served as the Director of The Office of Clergy Life and Assistant to the Bishop. Her ministry currently focuses on calling, equipping, and sustaining clergy leaders as well as resourcing the Bishop, Cabinet, and Board of Ordained Ministry.
Having grown up in Carrboro, NC, just outside of Chapel Hill, Beth has affection for all things Carolina blue, and especially loves watching the UNC Tarheels play basketball. She and her husband, Paul, live in Sanford, NC, where they enjoy the beauty of creation, cookouts with friends, and sharing life stories.
