The July Insurance and Pension benefit bills to local churches are being prepared by your Benefits Team. Some bills may be arriving later than usual due to the high volume of system changes at this time of year. We appreciate your patience and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Contact us at benefitsteam@nccumc.org after July 18 if you have not yet received your bills.

2021 Affordable Care Act Reporting
As in previous years, here are the steps we are taking for Affordable Care Act tax reporting for our conference for 2021:
- The Conference will file 1095-B forms for all of the participants on our health care plan. This means that local churches with less than 50 employees will not need to file any forms.
- The Conference will file 1095-C forms as an applicable large employer for anyone on the annual conference payroll.
- If your church has close to or over 50 employees, please review guidance from Wespath to help determine if you must file as an applicable large employer.
The forms were ordered today, February 10, 2022, and will be mailed to recipients within the next three business days.
Important Notice:
You do not have to wait on your 1095-B or C forms to file your tax return for 2021. Here is information from the IRS on this topic. Specifically, see questions #3 and #14.
New Telehealth Vendor in 2022
The vendor for our free telehealth service has changed from MDLive to Teledoc effective January 1, 2022. A Welcome Kit from Teledoc will soon be mailed to all health plan enrollees. This kit will provide instructions on how to set up their account with Teledoc. Telehealth visits through this vendor are free – no copays! Visit the Insurance webpage for more details.
Status of 2022 BCBS cards
Blue Cross Blue Shield sent participants’ insurance cards to the vendor today. The cards will need to be produced and mailed before participants begin to receive them. All participants are in the BCBS system, however, so coverage is active regardless of having the insurance card in hand.
