Paul Baldwin
Paul Baldwin has served as a Certified Lay Minister since the summer of 2019. He has served his home church, Galilee UMC in Laurinburg, as rotating liturgist, speaker, choir participant, and loyal congregation member.

Paul’s ministry is based out of Galilee UMC. However, he has served as Pulpit Supply throughout the Gateway District and other districts in North Carolina. His mission as Pulpit Supply has been requested by the Superintendent, District Lay Leaders, and Pastors. Paul’s joy and excitement come from visiting your congregations. Arriving as a stranger and leaving as a friend. His mission as Pulpit Supply is to give the Pastor of a church a break or pause from their Sunday morning obligations (for whatever reason) and offer a confident, full-throated Bible-based sermon given to him by God. Paul has offered God’s word to Sunday morning attendants of three-person congregations and one hundred. All deserve to hear God’s word with joy and enthusiasm. Several Pastors and congregations agree. Paul is often invited to return to their churches to offer God’s word again.
Loving Boldly, Serving Joyfully, Leading Courageously
To love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously reflect well on Paul’s mission. Pulpit Supply requires faith in God that he will “carry me” to unknown congregations and allow Pastors to offer their pulpits to a stranger. Yes, there is Joy in Faith. “Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.”
