Anggie Thompson

Anggie Thompson is a Certified Lay Minister (CLM) in the Corridor District, where she serves as Lead Shepherd of the Certified Lay Minister Cohort, is a member of the CLM Steering Committee, and the Corridor District Lay Servant Ministry Committee. She is a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in Mebane, North Carolina. Anggie is passionate about teaching lay servant ministry courses for the Conference and through the Be a Disciple online program. Previously, Anggie was assigned to two small churches as their preacher for two and five years consecutively. One of her current ministry focuses is pulpit supply, providing pastors with opportunities for Sabbath rest.

Committed to service both within her community and beyond, Anggie volunteers with New Rattitude Rat Terrier Rescue and serves on the Board of Directors for her local fire department, in addition to maintaining full-time employment.

Family is central to Anggie’s life, and she cherishes time spent with her husband, their three rescued rat terriers, her two sons and their families, including two granddaughters and two grandsons.
