NC Conference
- Bishop Shelton announced new staff appointments beginning July 2024. Read the full announcement.
- The North Carolina Conference Deacon Endowment team announced the awardees of the 2024 NC Conference Deacon Endowment Award.

- The NC Conference Delegation shared an overview about General Conference and proposed legislation, ahead of the conference. Watch the overview video.
- Bishop Shelton encouraged us to participate in the 24-hour Prayer Vigil for General Conference.

Center for Leadership Excellence
- Registration opened for “Preparing for Racialized Storms.”
- Rev. Dr. Anne Walker Sims led a course on the practice of prayer beads and led participants in creating their own.
Laity Ministries
- Registration opened for Lay Servant Ministries Day of Discovery on June 1.
- Eight Certified Lay Minister (CLM) candidates gathered at the Conference building to present their ministry projects. Watch a video of one of the candidate’s presentations to learn more about what a CLM does.

- Registration opened for the 2024 Transition Seminar on May 19.
Outreach Ministry
- Creation Care Ministries shared opportunities to learn more about developing a local church creation care team.
- Disaster Ministries hosted a training retreat for District Disaster Response Coordinators and Early Response Teams to network and expand disaster response skills.
- Disaster Ministries hosted Early Response Team training in the Harbor District.
Treasurer’s Office
- Applications are open for “One Who Is Loved,” a special endowment to benefit children under 18 years old who have special needs. Learn more about the grant.
Youth Ministries
- Middle school youth gathered for Kaleidoscope on April 12-14 at Camp Don Lee.
