SB 153: Protecting Immigrant Drivers Organizing Meeting

With the recent passage of Senate Bill 153 (SB 153), North Carolina is implementing drastic changes regarding state-funded benefits, university policies, and cooperation with ICE.
We’re taking action using three strategies to protect immigrant drivers before state law enforcement officers are trained to operate as ICE agents: public prayer, Defend Your Rights trainings and learning how to run voter registration and mobilization teams.
At this English-language organizing meeting you’ll learn how to join others in taking action, how to help influence implementation of this new law and how to plug into the August 8 Day of Prayer & Action in Raleigh.
