One of the unspoken realities of ministry is that there are a host of administrative tasks that are required in order to effectively sustain the various programs around the church. The role of the Administrative Assistant is to help with these administrative tasks so as to empower and sustain the demands being placed upon the executive leadership team. Specifically, the Administrative Assistant will work with the Lead Pastor and Executive Director in order to identify, assist and execute tasks related to their office. The tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Enter data into and maintain the Realm database
- Send new visitor emails
- Process mailings from the church
- Schedule church door lock system
- Assist in planning and executing special events
- Assist with the printing and preparation of materials
- Update the church’s website
- Process room requests/reservations
- Update/maintain the church calendar
- Operate the main church telephone line
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Operational Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to perform facility maintenance
- Inventory, purchase and/or order supplies
- Unpack and put away inventory orders
- Maintain sanctuary seating and seat-back pockets
- Help with set up in preparation for special events/Sunday services
- Other operational duties as assigned

- A sense of God’s calling to this ministry and eagerness to use one’s gifts and talents to serve Christ
- Agreement with The Peak Church’s mission, vision, and theological beliefs
Position Requirements:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible, organized and personable
- A self-starter and independent worker who is a team player.
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule that may require occasional Sunday mornings. The position may also be called upon to work Easter morning and Christmas Eve.

Hours of work: 20 hours/week
Salary: $21/hour
