The Director of Traditional Worship will be responsible for planning worship for the 11:00am services at Oxford UMC. This person will work closely with the pastor to prepare the services on a weekly basis. He or she will also accompany hymns on piano or organ, direct the chancel choir, and organize special music such as solo and small ensemble numbers.

This is a part-time position, with weekly hours negotiable. Salary commensurate with experience.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will also:

• Play the organ, in addition to the piano
• Direct the handbell choir
• Have earned a bachelor’s degree in Music
• Be available to play during special services such as funerals and weddings
