Contemporary Worship Leader (15hrs)
North Raleigh UMC is seeking a part-time (15 hours/week) Contemporary Worship Leader to provide musical and administrative leadership for the 9:45 contemporary worship service. This role is responsible for leading the contemporary band, preparing weekly worship materials, and assisting with youth music ministries under the direction of the Director of Music.
The salary range for this position is $17,000-$20,000 for 15 hours per week.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Contemporary Worship Leader provides musical and administrative leadership for the contemporary worship service. This role is responsible for leading the contemporary band, preparing weekly worship materials, and assisting with youth music ministries under the direction of the Director of Music.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sunday Worship Leadership: Serves as the primary musical leader for the 9:45 Contemporary Worship service, following the liturgical plan provided by the Director of Music Ministries.
Band Leadership, Development, and Recruitment: Schedules band members, develops and seeks out new talent, leads weekly rehearsals.
Administrative Preparation: Responsible for Weekly Worship Order in Planning Center, manages weekly multimedia presentations, including song lyrics and sermon slides in ProPresenter and Planning Center.
Youth Music: Provides musical accompaniment and rehearsal support for the Youth Band.
Music Database, Library & Compliance: Manages the contemporary music library on Planning Center and ensures CCLI copyright reporting.
Equipment Maintenance: Assists with basic stage setup and teardown for the contemporary band.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Education: Degree in Music or Sacred Music preferred.
Experience: 3+ years leading worship or music ensembles in a congregational setting.
Musical Skills: Proficient in lead vocals and either guitar or keyboard.
Theology: Commitment to teaching and promoting NRUMC’s mission and United Methodist theology.
