I am delighted to introduce our new Conference C4C Committee, effective July 1, 2022. This committee is composed of one representative from each of the eight districts in our conference. Members will serve as the primary C4C resource person and main point of contact for churches in each district.

It is our goal to equip local churches to initiate, maintain, or expand their partnerships with local elementary schools. To that end, effective communication is paramount. We know that congregations sharing their C4C successes and best practices with each other will equip and inspire other churches even more effectively than anything we as conference or district leaders can provide.

Therefore, our roles will be focused on learning about effective C4C partnerships already in place and then sharing widely those practices that lead to success. We want to serve as clearinghouses and communicators within and across our districts to promote effective C4C partnerships. We will depend on local church C4C leaders to share your stories with your district representatives so we can support, encourage, and celebrate with you, while sharing your successes across the conference so that others can learn from you.

I encourage all churches already engaged in school partnerships, as well as those who are considering starting one, to contact your C4C district representative to initiate a relationship that will promote the goals I have outlined. And remember that C4C has always been a laity-led initiative, so we hope that every church has a designated lay person who will communicate with your district representative on all matters related to C4C.
