James Veverka

James Veverka serves as a Certified Lay Minister (CLM) at Millbrook UMC in Raleigh. He is an active member who enjoys serving in various ministries. He is passionate about spiritual growth, hospitality, and encouraging others in their walk with Christ.

Millbrook UMC

James Veverka serves in ministry at Millbrook United Methodist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. He often helps lead worship as a liturgist and has had the opportunity to share several sermons with the congregation. He currently serves as president of the United Methodist Men and enjoys providing devotions for different groups within the church. He also administers an online Facebook group called A Guide to Ministers and Other Servants, where he shares devotional reflections and encouragement for those serving in ministry. Being part of these ministries has deepened his faith and given him meaningful ways to help others grow in their walk with Christ.

Loving Boldly, Serving Joyfully, Leading Courageously

At Millbrook UMC, James tries to live out the vision to Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously through the ways he participates in ministry. He seeks to love boldly by welcoming and encouraging others in worship and fellowship. He serves joyfully through the United Methodist Men, by offering devotions that help others grow in faith, and through his online ministry, A Guide to Ministers and Other Servants, a Facebook devotional group that provides daily encouragement for those serving God. He strives to lead courageously by stepping forward when opportunities arise to share God’s word, whether through liturgy, preaching, or service within the church community and beyond.
