The mission of our youth this summer is to help victims of domestic violence; can you or your church help? During Annual Conference Session for Youth, 200 youth and adults will gather at Methodist University. The Monday Mission is to make 400 kits to be distributed to shelters across the North Carolina Annual Conference. Why are they needed?
When a woman is forced to leave an abusive situation, it is often in the middle of the night or on short notice. When faced with these situations, gathering toiletries often is overlooked. When women arrive at shelters, it is often with only the clothes on their back. The kits will help supply women and children with a few items of comfort as they seek to rebuild their lives. The kits also provide needed hygiene items when funds are not available to purchase.
Please join us in gathering the items listed below via your Sunday School classes, VBS, mission teams, etc. We need all items to be at Methodist University by Sunday, July 17. For more information, please contact Tara Lain at tlain@nccumc.org. Thank you!
