A MESSAGE FROM A MEMBER OF THE CONFERENCE COUNCIL ON YOUTH MINISTRIES!
My name is Jay Berry and I would like to share some information about TO Takeover. TO Takeover is a three-day retreat at Camp Rockfish in Fayetteville for “theological offspring.” You might ask: “What is a theological offspring?” A theological offspring is anyone who’s parent (or parents) are employed by a church. My mother is a United Methodist pastor in the NCCUMC, so that makes me a proud TO.
TO Takeover is a time for those who live in (and at the church, for some of us) to gather together in fellowship. When your family member is a leader of the church and a name on their payroll, you develop an understanding of faith and the church that others may not. With TO Takeover, theological offspring can find support and comfort in each other and built relationships that can make church life easier.
So, if you’re a TO, come to TO Takeover, January 11-13, 2019.
