Dear Pastors,
As we reach mid-summer, United Methodist Campus Ministers and Chaplains across North Carolina’s universities are preparing to welcome a new class of students—and we want to contact students from your churches who are headed our way (either as first-year students or upperclass students).
We truly rely on you to let us know who is coming to our campuses; we have no other way of learning about Methodist students at our schools. Unfortunately, the information you provide at charge conference is not available to us until late in the Fall Semester—a time that is too late for effective outreach.
A full listing of United Methodist Campus Ministers and Chaplains in North Carolina is available at nccumc.org/colleges. If you have students going to any of these schools, please click on the link to e-mail their Campus Minister/Chaplain, providing the students’ names, e-mails, phone numbers, and what year they will be (first year, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate student). If you don’t have all of this information, please send as much as you have.
Although our programs differ, we are all committed to helping students hear God’s voice and grow into the men and women God is calling them to be.
We can’t thank you enough for getting us in touch with your students; we truly rely on you, and take seriously our work of continuing the faith formation you nurtured in each of them.
Blessings,
James Henderson
