“Communion has a way of flattening things out…a way of entangling our roots and joining our hands,” (From Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evans).
For 23 years, Sunday morning communion with 5,000+ friends in Christ has been one of the most impactful parts of our weekend of learning, mission, and worship. Inspired by the parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14 and our common communion liturgy, Pilgrimage 2017 will move us toward our Sunday morning Eucharist where we will be fed and sent into the world to be gracious hosts at the tables we find in our churches, schools, and communities.
