The Office of Race Equity and Justice Ministries, in partnership with Neighborhood Seminary<\/a>, is offering an amazing opportunity, a journey\/course with the authors of \u201cHealing Haunted Histories,\u201d<\/a> Dr. Elaine Enns and Ched Myers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This original work, subtitled: A Settler’s Discipleship of Decolonization, brings innovative and transformative learning experiences to persons who want to pursue more fully the intersectionality between faith and restorative justice. Through exploration and engagement with the landlines, bloodlines, and storylines which have shaped our relationships with Indigenous neighbors and other vulnerable and violated peoples, hope, healing, and justice will be found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Enns brings decades of meaningful, innovative, and disruptive leadership in restorative justice and peacemaking. For the people who have participated in previous cohorts, this has been a fully life-giving and transformational experience. As participants engage their own story, deepening their understanding of their family systems and history, they learn to challenge injustice and bring hope-filled change into our world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a member of the NC Conference, we will scholarship most of your cost. The cost of the class is $350, but you will only pay $100. If you would like the CEU’s offered, you will incur that additional cost.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class Dates:  September 7 & 21, October 5 & 19, and November 2, 16 & 30<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class Times:\u00a0 4-7 p.m. EST \/ 3-6 p.m. CST \/ 2-5 p.m. MST \/ 1-4 p.m. PST (USA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon completion of the course, our expectation is that you will use your newly gained knowledge and experience to continue the work of equity and justice in our NC Conference and be willing to help expand the work in your own district or setting. If you say yes to this and register, we are asking you to covenant to this work and to commit to complete the course. We are investing in you and we ask that you commit to showing up and participating in the process. Please do not register if you cannot make such a commitment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wounds of white supremacy are deep and horrific.\u00a0This reality spills over all of us. But we can work together for healing and justice.\u00a0We can work together for life and love.\u00a0The work and engagement of Healing Haunted Histories has offered that for me. I hope and pray this for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
