Help us respond to the Ebola Crisis by sending food
As you may know Liberia is experiencing extreme devastation because of the Ebola crisis in Liberia. The crisis has shutdown food markets. We received information that finding and purchasing food is extremely difficult. In response to this crisis the NC Conference is requesting food donations at the NC Conference Mission Team/Disaster Response warehouse. The last day to donate is tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept 3, 9 a.m. – noon. This is for a one-time shipment and we cannot accept donations outside of the specified times. For information on what food is needed and who to contact, read more on our website.
Is your church online? Is the listing correct?
When you visit nccumc.org/churches, do you see your church website listed next to the Directions link? Is the waypoint placed incorrectly or address listed wrong? We do not have websites for every church and we need help finding the ones we are missing. Also, we need your help to verify that the Directions link takes you to the right place!
1. Check nccumc.org/churches for your church listing. Do this by clicking your district on the left and then your church from the list that populates below the district list.
2. If View Website is not listed in your church info bubble, fill out the form below the church map to send us your website.
3. If View Website is listed, but the website is incorrect, please also fill out the form and let us know the correct information.
4. Is something else wrong? Incorrect address, placement? Fill out the form and we will get it fixed!
Please help us finish this new feature by completing this process by Friday, Sept. 5.

Unity Dialogue September 16
The Unity Dialogue will meet Sept. 16, 2-4 p.m. at the United Methodist Building in Garner. The focus of the Dialogue, for this conversation, is A Plea for Unity, a document that was written by the co-leaders of the Unity Dialogue, Laurie Hays Coffman and Paul Stallsworth. The Plea for Unity was approved by Annual Conference in June. The conversation is open to all. A few copies of the document will be available, and participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or pad with electronic access. Reading the document in advance is strongly recommended.
