NCC Walking Program – Amazing Pace Cash Incentive Change
It’s now easier to earn cash incentives through the Amazing Pace Walking Program! Since the intention and spirit of this program is to encourage our community to become more active and healthier, the Insurance Committee has revised the cash incentive criteria retroactively to January 31, 2011. The three previous criteria have now been reduced to only two: (1) enroll in The Amazing Pace walking program by the first day of the journey (1/31/2011 for the first journey; 4/25/2011 for the second journey; 7/18/2011 for the third journey; and 10/10/2011 for the fourth journey) and (2) walk at least 65% of the days during the 11-week journey. For more program details, visit the Conference Insurance website or contact the Amazing Pace customer service at 1-888-852-8862 or support@lifebux.com.

Native American Ministry offering
It is not too late for congregations to respond to the Native American Ministry offering, one of six specially-designated offerings created by General Conference. Fifty percent of the offering remains in the annual conference to develop and strengthen local Native American ministries. The other fifty percent is distributed equally between the United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry to provide scholarships for American Indians attending the church’s schools of theology and the Native American Urban Initiative of the General Board of Global Ministries. Offerings should be remitted to the Conference Treasurer’s Office.
