Give to One Great Hour of Sharing
Offerings can still be made for One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS). This Special Sunday offering enables the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to respond to disasters around the world, such as Haiti and Chile, by covering the costs of operational infrastructure. Because of OGHS, gifts to specific UMCOR ministries go 100% to the designated outreach effort. Unlike other mission programs, UMCOR receives no World Service or other apportionment money. By giving to OGHS, you enable UMCOR to keep the promise that 100% of designated gifts go to specified causes. For down-loadable materials and more information on One Great Hour of Sharing, please see One Great Hour of Sharing. To see a helpful guide for congregational leaders, go to Leaders Guide.
