DVD orders for Annual Conference sessions

Clergy have until July 30 to have photos taken
Clergy not photographed at 2009 Annual Conference by Olan Mills for the conference directory can still have a photograph taken for the book. Call Laura Bailey or Robin Harry at 1-800-849-4433 for details. The absolute deadline for having photos taken is July 30. The spouse can be included in the photo but several photos of the clergy only must be taken. There is no charge to have photographs taken.

UMW School of Christian Mission to be in July
The 2009 School of Christian Mission will be held at Methodist University July 22-25. The three study topics are Sudan, Food and Faith, and Giving Our Hearts Away: Native American Survival. The deadline for registration is July 10. A registration form can be printed from School of Christian Mission.

Workshop on the Holy Sacraments to be held at Lake Junaluska
Dr. Gayle Felton will lead the workshop, “Sacraments, the Means of Grace” to be held at Lake Junaluska July 24-26. This event, designed for clergy and laity, will span the theological and practical considerations of the sacraments from the United Methodist perspective. National Faith-Based Health Care Reform Rally
The United Methodist General Board of Church & Society is among more than 30 national faith organizations planning a large mobilization around health-care reform. These organizations will host an “Interfaith Service of Witness and Prayer” on Wednesday, June 24 at 4 p.m. at Freedom Plaza in Washington D.C. The gathering will express an ecumenical/interfaith support for health-care reform. Similar “echo events” will occur nationally throughout the preceding week.
