Bishop Ward Encourages Engagement in Higher Ed
In this week’s Connections, Bishop Ward encourages churches located near colleges and universities to explore ways to be more engaged in ministry with students and introduces a new initiative in the Wilmington area linking churches and UNC-Wilmington.
Pension Forms for Pastors Changing Appointments
Pastors who have moved to a new appointment, should complete two pension documents for their new church treasurer. All pastors should complete the 2013 Pension Worksheet. Only pastors electing to participate in the UMPIP should complete the Contribution Agreement form for the UMPIP. If a pastor is making a change to his/her contribution amount, then give a copy of the form to the church treasurer and send the original to JoAnna Ezuka at the conference building in Garner. These forms can be found either on the Online Data Collection System or the Treasurer’s Office Downloads page. Local church treasurers need these forms to reconcile the pension billings.
On-Line Data System Information Has Been Updated
The On-Line Data System has now been updated with the new appointments for 2013-2014. All pastors should now be associated with their new appointment in the On-Line Data Collection System. If anyone has any problem logging in to the OLDCS or seeing their correct church when logged in, please contact Jennifer Walls at jwalls@nccumc.org.
