Academy for Leadership Excellence Selects New Executive Director
The Rev. Bill Gattis has been named executive director of the Academy for Leadership Excellence. The Academy works to equip clergy and laity to strengthen the leadership capabilities within local congregations. Rev. Gattis will begin his duties on Jan. 7. “We are fortunate that Bill and the Board shared God’s discernment that there was at least one more important assignment for him in developing 21st century leaders for our congregations,” said Larry D. Coats, chair of the Academy’s Board of Directors. Gattis succeeds the Rev. Brian Gentle, who retired from the position earlier this year.
