GBOPHB Beneficiary update reminder
This fall, all participants with the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits (GBOPHB) plans were sent a mailing asking them to confirm or update beneficiary information. Updating this information will help ensure benefit payments are made to the correct beneficiaries. Participants were asked to review the beneficiaries currently on file and confirm the beneficiary information, or update the information by completing a new beneficiary designation form. In the interest of good stewardship, participants are encouraged to complete and return the forms so a second request will not have to be sent by certified mail. For questions, contact JoAnna Cafferty (ext. 225) in the Treasurer’s Office.
Children’s Home in Haiti still in need of supplies
Recently, a workteam from the NC Conference, including Bishop Gwinn and many members of the Cabinet, went to Haiti to do construction work on the new phase of the Ryan Epps Home for Children. There are still supply needs as work continues to complete the inside of the dormitories, dining area, and staff housing building. Persons, groups, or churches who would like to contribute to this endeavor can refer to the needs list provided at Home needs.

Work of UMCOR in Haiti is highlighted on CBS
