Critical Drivers Deadline Extended
Due to a 24-hour outage of the Online Data Collection System over the weekend, the deadline for the first quarter Critical Drivers data has been extended through Thursday, April 10. Please log-in and enter your church’s first quarter information to ensure it is included in the reports submitted to the Cabinet at the end of this week.
Key Taylor Award Nominations
Rural church nominations for consideration of the Key Taylor Award are needed by May 16. Congregations can nominate themselves. For 2014, $1550 will be awarded. The award, sponsored through the United Methodist Foundation, is to call attention to the mission work of all rural churches by honoring the specific achievements of one rural church. Go to Key Taylor to see the nomination criteria.To nominate a church, respond via email in narrative form on one page to the criteria by May 16 to Kathy Duncan: firstname.lastname@example.org at the Office of Outreach Ministries. Include the names of the church and district.
UM Foundation Announces Director’s Retirement
Clara S. Wade, Board President of United Methodist Foundation, Inc. (UMF) announced the pending retirement of its current Executive Director, Lynn James effective July 1. Seeking Musicians for Annual Conference Worship
An ensemble is forming for worship throughout Annual Conference, June 11-14. Beginning with rehearsal on Tuesday, June 10, Jorge Lockward, Director of the Global Praise program at GBGM, will direct the ensemble. Musical gifts welcome in these groups: violin, guitar, trumpet and flute, organ and vocal. All cultures and styles welcomed.
