But you&#8217;re absolutely right: as the needs evolve, especially with the influx of families displaced from Artsakh, our focus has shifted to long-term, sustainable impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Vocational Training School<\/strong>\u00a0has become a cornerstone of that effort. We\u2019re now equipping young people and women with hands-on skills that can help them find employment or start small businesses. In that spirit, fundraising for\u00a0<strong>specific, tangible needs <\/strong>would be incredibly impactful \u2014 and I love your idea of setting goals that churches and women\u2019s groups could rally around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are just a few examples of the needs we have at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a) Vocational School\u2014Here is a detailed breakdown of the average cost of funding one student at the Vocational School (VS).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding a student involves several components: trainer salaries, training supplies, and supplies provided to graduates upon completing the course. Here\u2019s a breakdown of the approximate costs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trainer Salaries: Based on expertise, experience, and the Project AGAPE budget, the average salary for vocational trainers is approximately\u00a0$392\u2013$420 per month (including taxes). This amount may vary slightly depending on their specialization and experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training Supplies &#8211; costs vary across programs:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sewing Class:\u00a0Fabrics and threads (which we still have), sewing tools, supplies, and machine maintenance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information Technology (IT):\u00a0Computer hardware, software licenses, and networking equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL): Textbooks, teaching aids, and digital resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skin, Nail, and Hair Care Classes:\u00a0Beauty products, tools, and equipment. Estimated cost: Approximately\u00a0$300 per student per course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supplies for Graduates &#8211; to help graduates transition into the workforce, we aim to provide them with starter kits, such as:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sewing Graduates:\u00a0A basic sewing machine and essential tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IT Graduates:\u00a0Possibly entry-level laptops or software packages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TEFL Graduates:\u00a0Teaching materials and resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beauty Care Graduates:\u00a0Starter kits with essential beauty tools, equipment, and products. Estimated cost: Approximately\u00a0$400 per student.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estimated Total Cost per Student through\u00a0<strong>combining these components:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Trainer Salary:\u00a0Approximately\u00a0$392\u2013$420 per month.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training Supplies:\u00a0Approximately\u00a0$300 per student per course.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Graduate Supplies:\u00a0Approximately\u00a0$400 per student.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This results in an estimated average cost of\u00a0$1,093\u2013$1,120 per student per course.<\/strong> Please note that these figures are approximations and may vary depending on specific program requirements, the Project AGAPE budget, and current market prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b) Another example of the needs is a Local Aid Package for displaced families\u00a0(purchased inside Armenia): $50\u2013$200 per package, depending on the items (e.g., bedding, hygiene items, school supplies, household goods, clothing).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only would this kind of support meet immediate needs, but it also strengthens the local economy. Buying locally avoids shipping delays and costs, and it empowers local businesses at a time when Armenia\u2019s economy is under pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consider having a fundraiser for one of these needs: it could be a month of salary for a trainer, it could be training or graduate supplies, it could be funds for the starter kits (with supplies purchased on the local Armenian economy). A unit could raise enough for part or all of a Local Aid Package.
