{"id":12797,"date":"2023-10-03T15:59:44","date_gmt":"2023-10-03T19:59:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nccumc.org\/outreach\/?p=12797"},"modified":"2023-10-03T15:59:45","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T19:59:45","slug":"change-for-a-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nccumc.org\/outreach\/2023\/10\/change-for-a-change\/","title":{"rendered":"Change for a Change"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Are you ready for an October challenge to support babies and their mothers in Sierra Leone, West Africa? <a href=\"https:\/\/rotifunk.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mission of Hope: Rotifunk Hospital<\/a>, an organization that was started in 2015 by the NC Conference of The United Methodist Church and the Sierra Leone Annual Conference along with members of Wrightsville United Methodist Church, hopes to raise awareness of the Rotifunk Hospital with the congregations in our Conference, starting with children\u2019s Sunday School classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the month of October, consider placing buckets throughout your church for the &#8220;Change for a Change&#8221; campaign. When dropping off your children at their classrooms, encourage them to contribute coins and bills to the buckets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past 8 years, the improvements to the healthcare of mothers and babies, children and adults have been amazing.
