If you get the Project Agape newsletter, you know that the Armenian Christians of Artsakh continue to be persecuted.\u00a0Azerbaijan forces (Azeri) invaded Artsakh, destroying everything that Project AGAPE had helped build: the distribution center, the school, and the hospital, and the homes.\u00a0 The country was divided in two, and our friends fled south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Azeri have now blocked all the roads into the former capital, Stepanakirk. Much needed supplies cannot be delivered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the 50th day<\/strong> of the siege.\u00a0 Nara Melkonyan, Country Director and missionary, reports that the shelves are bare, groceries and medicine are non-existent, and the elderly and children are starving.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nara asks that we telephone\u00a0Stephanie Power, USAID Administrator\u00a0 (202)712-4300 or\u00a0\u00a0www.usaid.gov\/contact<\/a>-us.\u00a0to airlift emergency US humanitarian aid NOW.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
