Refugees Arriving from Tham Hin Refugee Camp<\/strong><\/p>\n

Burmese Karen Refugees are living and working in North Carolina and they need your help.\u00a0 These individuals and families fled religious, ethnic, and political persecution in Burma only to face severe overcrowding and a lack of resources in Tham Hin Refugee Camp, reportedly the least livable refugee camp in Thailand.<\/p>\n

As they begin rebuilding their lives in North Carolina, church support will be the key to the successful resettlement of the Burmese Karen people. Churches are needed to collect donated furniture, help with initial housing, and serve as a welcoming community in the initial months after arrival. Please join this community effort to show the Karen people that this world holds kindness, generosity, and justice for them.<\/p>\n
