Dr. Dora Canales Munez (Advance # 3021455) , GBGM missionary to Peru, will be visting NC July 17-27, 2014. She is available to meet with small groups, Sunday school classes, UMW, UMM, youth groups, or other gatherings during this time period. (Churches will need to arrange for an interpreter.)

A native of Chile, Dr. Canales is a missionary serving as president and professor at the Wesleyan Theological Seminary in Lima, Peru. She originally trained to be a pastor but discerned God calling her in another direction. Her educational focus is theological education dealing with women’s issues, peace, and pastoral care for people with disabilities, at-risk your, and farmers. Dr. Canales and the seminary support the work of the Methodist Church in Peru and other Protestants throughout South America.
