~ Mary Zigbuo Mantor to Visit NC Conference Area ~
Between August 1 and August 15, our Conference Area will be hosting a General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) missionary—Mary Zigbuo Mantor. Mary is well known in our Conference, as she was raised in Bolton, NC. Mary met and married Herbert Zigbuo and both of them eventually became missionaries in Liberia—Herbert’s home country. After Herbert’s death, Mary has continued to serve as a missionary in Liberia and was particularly instrumental in helping the Liberian people during the Ebola crisis.
In working with the various hospitals, she met Patrick Mantor, who became the Administrator of Ganta Hospital. After their marriage, Mary has continued to serve the UMC with special emphasis on helping the work of Global Health to function well in Liberia. As she nears the end of her missionary service, Mary and Patrick are both itinerating throughout many States where she and both of her husbands have been able to forge important partnerships with the people of Liberia. During her assigned itineration from August 1-15, Mary Zigbuo Mantor will be sharing her faith and her service at North Carolina Conference Churches that invite her to come and speak. Having Patrick available to share about his work at Ganta Hospital will be an additional blessing.
Contact the Reverend Bill Haddock at 910.262.3831 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a time to have Mary and Patrick at your Church for any function. To read a biography about Mary, go to http://www.umcmission.org Click “Missionaries”, and then find Mary Randall Zigbuo.
