GRANT OPPORTUNITIES For Rural Churches!
In partnership with The Duke Endowment, Resourceful Communities, a program of The Conservation Fund, is launching a Faith and Food Initiative to help rural churches strengthen their food ministries and community impacts. We’ll provide free-of-charge training, small grants to help implement priority projects, and networking to build new partnerships.
To help inform our work, we’re asking that you take a few minutes to complete a survey here <<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KVQ558Q>> about your church’s assets that support – or could support – food programming. It asks basic information about your church’s food ministry and church resources such as vans, kitchens, land, and volunteers.
The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. We ask that you complete the survey bySeptember 20. Please feel free to share this link with other churches, too.
This survey is voluntary, but *your input is critical*. Your responses are anonymous and will help inform support for rural churches across North Carolina. Summary information from the survey, with no identifying information, will be shared.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Justine Post, Faith and Food Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Kathleen Marks, Associate Director of Resourceful Communities, email@example.com.
This initiative has the potential to erase rural food deserts, improve the lives of everyone in a community, and share the generous love of Christ with our hungry neighbors. Community gardens and food truck ministries, food pantries and sharing meals together can truly transform the lives of people we know, and people we have yet to meet. We have great dreams for all the ways God is calling us to share the abundance of creation! Please take a few minutes to let us know how you are already living into this calling.
We truly appreciate your feedback and time. Thank you!
