A friendly reminder that the NC Conference takes a special offering for Project AGAPE (#S-00004), our ministry in Armenia on Sunday January 24, 2016 (or other date of your choosing). Project Agape serves impoverished people in Armenia and the politically contested Karabagh region. Increasingly, Syrian refugees, many of Armenian descent, are flooding into the area and draining limited resources. A Bulletin Insert is available for use.
Thanks to NC Conference churches, over 3,000 Agape boxes were sent as Christmas presents for children in Armenia for Christmas 2015. Additionally, churches donated $1,000 to the AGAPE Cattle Project (#S-00259) to buy a cow for an immigrant family, supplying the family with milk and enabling the family to become self-sufficient in a region with high unemployment. Other cash donations help pay salaries for AGAPE staff in Armenia, office and transportation expenses for Christian relief response, and salary support for a priest and doctor in Berdzor – one of the most impoverished places on earth. Donations of whatever you can afford make a big difference.
