The Tables Are Open: Statistical Reporting Season 2026

Laptop with calculator

Dear Pastors, Colleagues, and Friends,

Statistical reporting season is now open.

Our Statistical Tables tell an important story—the story of people, ministry, generosity, and stewardship across our churches. The data you submit reflects how individuals and families connect with the life of the church through worship, formation, service, and giving. Together, these tables form a collective picture of The United Methodist Church’s witness and impact across the North Carolina Conference.

What You Need to Know

Statistical Tables 1, 2, and 3 are now unlocked and ready for completion using your 2025 end-of-year data.

You can access your church’s tables through your Church Record in the Online Data Collection System.

Access & Password Help

Statistical Tables are accessed through your church’s record in the Online Data Collection System. If you are unsure who has access for your church, contact your pastor. If you need to reset or recover a password, your pastor must reset it following the instructions on the Forgot Password page.

For access control or password-related issues that cannot be resolved through the recovery tool, please contact Conference support at support@nccumc.org.

A brief overview of each table:

  • Table 1: Membership
Records the people connected to your church and their participation through in-person and online worship, Sunday school, small groups, United Women in Faith, United Methodist Men, youth ministries, and other areas of engagement.
  • Table 2: Financial Expenses
Reports the operational and capital expenses that support your church’s ministry.
  • Table 3: Stewardship & Giving
Accounts for gifts received from individuals, households, and other sources that sustain and expand ministry.

Deadline

All tables must be completed and submitted by the end of the day on January 31, 2026.

New & Clarified Guidance: Preschools, Afterschools, and Benevolent Use

If your church houses or extends ministry through a Preschool or Afterschool, please review the new document titled:

Exemption from Operational and Staffing Expenses

This resource brings clarity and consistency to prior practices and establishes a common approach across the Conference.

Additionally, churches using the Benevolence Calculator to amend operational expenses should carefully review and apply the updated instructions found in the:

Benevolence Calculator Worksheet Instructions

Support Is Available

In January 2025, the Center for Leadership Excellence hosted a webinar introducing the Statistical Tables and offering practical guidance for completing them. The recording remains a valuable resource.

I have also set aside time for 30-minute phone or Zoom consultations to address questions related to interpreting the Tables and reporting your church’s data. You may view my availability and schedule a conversation using my Calendly link below.

Words of Wisdom

  • Begin gathering your information early.
  • Consider printing the tables and completing them on paper before entering data online.
  • Aim to finish well before the deadline.
  • Don’t hesitate to ask for help—we’re in this together.

With gratitude for your ministry and care,
