Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. — John 12:24 (NRSV)
Lent begins this week with Ash Wednesday on February 26. Lent is a time of soul-searching, self-examination, and repentance which prepares us to receive the grace and hope Christ gives through his death and resurrection.
During this Lenten season, our reflections will be based on the ways that Archbishop Oscar Romero’s words, life, ministry, and sacrifice inform and guide our hearts for ministry and mission, particularly with the poor and marginalized. We invite you to share your thoughts on the incredible ministry of Archbishop Romero, how his example brings us closer to Christ, and encourages us to be Christ to others.
Please send your contribution of 150-300 words to email@example.com by March 6.
